Great bread...even better pizza crust!

We've been using this bread mix for about a year as it's the best gluten-free bread mix I've found. I usually make the sweet bread and it's very good although it would make a great savory bread with herbs as well. I didn't even think to try to make pizza crust with it as we were using a mix specifically for pizza crust from another popular gluten-free brand which I didn't really like (too light and thick like a deep dish but without flavor). I just tried Pamela's bread mix for pizza crust and it was amazing. Not too thick and a bit chewy just like "real" pizza crust. My daughter has celiac (a complete inability to eat any wheat rye barley and in her case oatmeal or any of their starches or glutens). Pamela's baking and pancake mix is a real heaven-sent product. It tastes good! Unlike some other baking mixes I have tried. It is easy to alter "normal" recipes using Pamela's mix to have great tasting baked products. The bag has good recipes and Pamela's products website has additional ones. Disappointed with this Pamelas product

I am surprised to be writing that I am disappointed in a Pamela's product having always been a fan. When the frostings came out I was excited to have a convenient source of frosting in a pinch. The directions were easy the prep a breeze but the final product fell short. The frosting was too sweet with an overpowering vanilla taste-and I love vanilla. I would have to say the vanilla tasted artificial since it was so strong. I make a beautiful vanilla buttercream and although I did not expect a final product of this caliber I expected better than what I tasted. Too sweet frosting mix; I'll make my own

I bought this mix because I thought it would be convenient to have on hand on the rare occasions when I bake a cake. But when I made it I found it much too sweet for my taste and I had to add a lot of my own cocoa to cut the sweetness. Best GF bread mix at best price per pound

Let's face it: most store-bought gluten-free bread is absolutely terrible. This is the best-tasting bread mix for making fresh gluten-free bread at home. With this mix I find that if I activate the yeast before mixing the dough and then keep the dough extra-warm after I shape it I can get the loaf to rise just like wheat bread. Priceless!



It should be noted however this is *not* a good mix to use for pancakes or waffles even if you add your own baking powder. It is too starchy to make a good pancake or waffle and it tends to stick to the pan or waffle iron even when plenty of oil is used.

Good and easy chocolate chunk cookies

The chocolate chunk cookie mix has one big advantage to it as it can be mixed by hand and come out just as well as when made with a mixer. I make the cookies smaller than recommended on the package and have over-baked them using the recommended baking time. They come out crisp but keep well and taste very good. awesome brownies - pancake mix is really good too!

i have tried 3 pamela's products: the brownie mix the pancake mix and the bread mix. first the brownies -- best i've ever tasted - i'm addicted to these things! i tried doing the applesauce substituted for oil and i don't recommend that - the brownies were too dry. the oil recipe is definitely the best -- also substituting espresso for water was yummy -- the pancake mix is really good too. i've made the pancakes and the waffles - the waffles are the best i've ever tasted with or without gluten. my co-worker used the pancake mix as a substitute in a regular recipe that called for all-purpose flour and said it worked great. finally the bread - my friend made me a loaf of bread in her bread machine and it was pretty good --not dry like most gluten-free products. the only thing was that when i tried to toast it the bread remains moist - it won't toast! weird...anyway i recommend all three products and buying them off amazon will save you $1.50 - $2.00 off the package price at the supermarket! A++++ on these products!

I didn't realize I was getting a box of six boxes of TOP QUALITY DELICIOUS cookies. We polished them all off in short order with lots of company at the cottage this summer. Amazing Cake mix

I was completely surprised when one of my customers brought this cake mix to me to use for their wedding cake I made it and it was wonderful. They paid $5.25 per mix so once I realized how easy it is to use and how wonderful it is I began my search and was so excited to find it at such a good price. I tried mixing in different ways according to package directions and also separating the eggs and beating the whites and folding them in as the final step in preparation. It was an effort to see how much height I could get. Beating the whites separately did give a little more height but all in all I determined it was not worth the extra trouble. It is wonderful as it. I used one mix in a 10 inch square pan baked three layers and stacked them. It made a very tall nice rich brownie-like cake.
